Attitude is Half the Battle

The first step and principle component to a healthy body is a commitment to being accountable for your own nutrition and lifestyle.

Establish the attitude that "I am responsible for changing the things in my health and appearance that can be changed. I am responsible for the quantities and types of food that I ingest. I am responsible for learning about protein, carbohydrates, fat, and vitamin and mineral requirements, as well as exercise -- all of which are necessary to develop and maintain a healthy body."

This attitude requires a lifelong commitment that can easily be accomplished without being radical or fanatical in your approach to a healthy lifestyle. Also this new attitude allows you to not only be healthier, but to be happier with an improvement in appearance and self-esteem.

Bear in mind that moderation and balance in your approach to health allows you to sustain your healthy program, thus preventing a "burn-out" and a return to your old lifestyle.

Now, let's move forward with this new attitude and commitment to accountability!
